Ethics

General instructions to authors

1.- Ethical guidelines for publication journals

The publication of an article in the Algerian Journal of Arid Environment, an international peer-reviewed journal, is a process of continuous improvement of knowledge. It is therefore important to agree on the standards of ethical behavior expected of all parties involved in the act of publication: the author, the newspaper publisher, the peer reviewer and the publisher.

 2.- Duties of the authors

 2.1.- Reporting Standards

Authors of original research reports should provide an accurate account of the work done and an objective discussion of its significance. A manuscript should contain enough details and references to allow others to duplicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

 2.2.- Originality and plagiarism

Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works. Similarly, if the authors have used other people's work and / or words, they should make sure that they have been quoted or quoted appropriately. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes an unethical editing behavior and is unacceptable.

2.3.- Multiple, redundant or simultaneous publication

An author should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one primary journal or publication. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical publication behavior and is unacceptable.

 2.4.- Recognition of sources

Authors should cite the publications that influenced the nature of the reported work. Information obtained in private, for example during a conversation, correspondence or discussion with third parties, should not be used or reported without the explicit written permission of the source.

2.5.- Copyright status of the document

Paternity should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the design, execution or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. When other people have been involved in some important aspects of the research project, they must be recognized or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the document and have accepted its submission for publication.
