This is in addition to knowing the possibility of predicting compassion in particular through the attachment patterns of the study sample. This is done by asking the following questions:

1- Is there a correlation between the patterns of attachment and self-compassion among mothers of autistic children?

2- What is the most common attachment pattern for mothers of autistic children?

3- What is the level of self-compassion for autistic children?

4- Is it possible to predict self-compassion through the attachment pattern of autistic children’s mothers?

We validate the hypotheses using the descriptive correlational approach. Two tools were used (the scale of adult attachment patterns prepared by Abu Ghazal and Jaradat (2009), the self-compassion scale prepared by Neff (2003) and translated by Abdel Rahman and others) on a sample of mothers of autistic children consisting of forty (40) mothers of autistic children.

After processing the data statistically, the results of the study hypotheses were as follows:

1- There is a positive correlation between the pattern of attachment and self-compassion among mothers of autistic children.

2- Mothers of autistic children are characterized by a high level of secure attachment pattern.

3- Mothers of autistic children are characterized by an average level of self-compassion.

4- Self-compassion can be predicted by the autistic children mothers’ attachment pattern.

These results were discussed and interpreted in light of the theoretical heritage and previous studies
KHELFAOUI Fadila ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://journals.univ-ouargla.dz/index.php/AJN/article/view/2334 ج, 31 ينا 2025 00:00:00 +0100 Cognitive Absorptionand its Relationship to some Frontal Lobe Executive Functions among Young People Who Use Smart Screen Devices: A Descriptive Study at the University of Kasdi Merbah – Ouargla https://journals.univ-ouargla.dz/index.php/AJN/article/view/2335
The following study aims to investigate the relationship between cognitive absorption and some frontal executive functions among young people who use smart screen devices. It is based on the descriptive approach, using a set of tools, namely: the cognitive absorption scale designed in the current study, the Hanoi test in the electronic version (application), linking paths test in the electronic version (application), and the visual working memory test modified by Dina Ali Samir. The sample consisted of 114 male and female students who were selected by the purposeful sampling method. Their ages range between 18-36 years, and they belong to three different faculties (Faculty of Hydrocarbons - Faculty of Mathematics and Material Sciences - Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences) at the University of Ouargla, Algeria (2020/2021).The study results show the following:

The prevalence of cognitive absorption is high among young people who use smart screen devices.

There is no statistically significant correlation between cognitive absorption and planning function among young people who use smart screen devices.

There is no statistically significant correlation between cognitive absorption and cognitive flexibility among young people who use smart screen devices.

There are no statistically significant differences in cognitive absorption according to the electronic medium, but there are statistically significant differences in the dimension of (sensing control) in favor of laptop computers and the dimension of (curiosity) in favor of smart phone devices.

There is a statistically significant correlation between visual working memory and cognitive flexibility among young people who use smart screen devices.

The results of the study are interpreted based on the literary heritage of subject variables and previous studies
KOUIDRAT Raouia ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://journals.univ-ouargla.dz/index.php/AJN/article/view/2335 ج, 31 ينا 2025 00:00:00 +0100 Frailty Syndrome and Its Correlation with Psychological Solitude in the Elderly A Clinical Psychology Perspective https://journals.univ-ouargla.dz/index.php/AJN/article/view/2336
The current study aims to shed light on the association between Frailty Syndrome and the sense of psychological loneliness among elderly individuals residing in Dar Al-Rahma and Mohammed Boudiaf Hospital in Biskra, Algeria. The hypotheses of the study were as follows:

We expect the level of Frailty Syndrome among the elderly individuals in the sample to be high.

The elderly individuals in the study sample suffer from a high level of psychological loneliness.

There are statistically significant differences in Frailty Syndrome among the study sample attributed to gender.

There are statistically significant differences in Frailty Syndrome among the study sample attributed to age.

There are statistically significant differences in psychological loneliness among the study sample attributed to gender.

There are statistically significant differences in psychological loneliness among the study sample attributed to age. In our study, we adopted the descriptive method as the appropriate approach, given the subject matter, and used the Frailty Syndrome Scale and the Psychological Loneliness Scale for this purpose. After verifying their psychometric properties on a random sample of 64 elderly individuals, the results were analyzed using the SPSS statistical analysis program. The findings revealed:

The elderly individuals in the sample experience a moderate level of Frailty Syndrome.

The elderly individuals in the sample experience a moderate level of psychological loneliness.

There are no statistically significant differences in Frailty Syndrome attributed to age and then gender.

There are statistically significant differences in psychological loneliness attributed to gender.

There are no statistically significant differences in psychological loneliness attributed to age
KOUIDRAT Raouia ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://journals.univ-ouargla.dz/index.php/AJN/article/view/2336 ج, 31 ينا 2025 00:00:00 +0100 Motivating Higher education students to read literary texts: Practical strategies and Techniques https://journals.univ-ouargla.dz/index.php/AJN/article/view/2338
One of the main difficulties EFL teachers encounter is inspiring students in the classroom, according to some arguments. This challenge is associated with numerous internal and external factors that impact the interests and behaviors of the students. This indicates that teachers have a critical role to play in influencing the classroom environment and how they teach, both of which have a positive impact on students' motivation. The purpose of this study is to identify how motivation, psychology, and critical thinking relate to one another in order to provide EFL teachers, in particular, with some teaching strategies and techniques that can result in successful instruction.
Samira Sayah Lembarek ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://journals.univ-ouargla.dz/index.php/AJN/article/view/2338 ج, 31 ينا 2025 00:00:00 +0100 The Impact of Psychostimulants on Executive Functions: Cognitive Flexibility as a Model https://journals.univ-ouargla.dz/index.php/AJN/article/view/2339
The current study aims to investigate the impact of drugs (psychostimulants) on executive functions among young individuals. We focused on both cognitive flexibility and cognitive control as they are deemed crucial, by presenting the following hypotheses:

There are statistically significant differences between users and non-users in the time taken to complete subtest A of the Trail Making Test (TMT).

There are statistically significant differences between users and non-users in the number of self-corrected errors in subtest B of the TMT.

There are statistically significant differences between users and non-users in the number of uncorrected errors in subtest B of the TMT.

To test these hypotheses, a correlational descriptive approach was employed, utilizing the Trail Making Test (TMT) after administering it to a sample of 60 young individuals, equally divided between users and non-users.

Upon data analysis, the results of the hypotheses were as follows:

There are statistically significant differences in the time taken to complete subtest A in favor of users.

There are statistically significant differences in the number of self-corrected errors (cognitive flexibility) in subtest B in favor of non-users.

There are statistically significant differences in the number of uncorrected errors (cognitive control) in subtest B in favor of non-users.

These results were discussed and interpreted within the theoretical framework and previous studies.

FELLAH Khadidja ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://journals.univ-ouargla.dz/index.php/AJN/article/view/2339 ج, 31 ينا 2025 00:00:00 +0100
