Is the exploitation of the contemporary palm grove respectful of the great principles of forestry concerned with sustainable development? In Algeria, the date palm participates in economic life by punctuating the sociocultural daily life of the community. Integrated into ancestral human culture, the date palm is the object of sedentarization rites among the natives. The “climbing rite” is one of the most fascinating
