The effect of applying the e-government system on the performance of the government services sector in the southeastern Algerian municipalities

Abstract

This research paper aims to reveal the extent of the impact of the e-government system, with its dimensions, on the performance of the government services sector in the southeastern Algerian municipalities. For this, the researchers relied on the descriptive approach , Where a questionnaire was distributed to a random sample of 360 employees from the southeastern municipalities. The results of the statistical analysis using the SPSS_23 program showed a set of results, the most important of them: The implementation of e-government requires an advanced and highly efficient digital infrastructure, Many public institutions in Algeria provide electronic services, but they are not of the required quality, There is no statistically significant relationship between the e-government system in its dimensions and the performance of the government services sector due to demographic and functional variables
