Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the evolution of entrepreneurial dynamics in Algeria by looking at one of its aspects, namely the characteristics of the entrepreneur. We made a comparison between the results of the survey of Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) for Algeria (2011) and a survey we conducted in the Center region of the country (2018). A one-dimensional analysis was applied to the obtained databases and another multidimensional through the technique of MCFA (Multiple Correspondences Factorial Analysis), and we compared the evolution of the characteristics of the entrepreneur. The results obtained highlighted a significant evolution of certain characteristics as well as the presence, not of only standard profile of the Algerian entrepreneur but rather of several classes with specific characteristics
