Impact of financial corruption on foreign direct investment in Algeria by international indicators for the period 2010-2020

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of financial corruption on foreign direct investment in Algeria by assessing the investment climate through the analytical descriptive approach to Algeria's position in international indicators during the period (2010-2022). The study found that the prevalence of corruption in Algeria ranks it in recent ranks according to the Perceptions of Corruption Index, within the area of zero freedom of the Economic Freedom Index, and rendered it an inappropriate environment for investment according to the EBI, which has a negative impact on FDI flows
