The Relationship Between Decent Work and Sustainable Development In Egypt

Abstract

The study aims to test the relationship between decent work and sustainable development in the Egyptian economy using time series data for the period (1980-2020), The study is based on the hypothesis that there is a positive relationship between decent work as an independent variable and sustainable development in the two terms as a dependent variable in the short and long terms, The study was based on a multiple linear regression model using the Cobb-Douglas function.
The study, using ARDL for co-integration, came to the conclusion that there is a positive relationship between decent work and sustainable development, whether in the short or long term, with a level of morale of 1%, As it turns out, there is a positive relationship between real capital accumulation and sustainable economic development, whether in the short or long term, It is also clear that the error correction coefficient is negative and statistically significant at the level of significance of 1%, and this indicates the convergence of the equilibrium in the short term to the long term, As about 2.67% of the short-run deviations from the long-run equilibrium are corrected each year
