Abstract

The study aims to determine the impact of Basel 3 decisions on the capital adequacy of both conventional and islamic banks for the countries of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Malaysia. During the period 2010-2021, using the descriptive analysis approach. The study concluded that there is an important effect of new Basel decisions on capital adequacy’ rates of banks, and espicially for islamic banks. The applied study also proved that the improvement of the quality banks’ capital due to Basel 3 decisions led to an improvement in their financial performance and the enhancement of their financial and competitive capabilities
