Abstract

This study aims to test the effect of work stress on organizational citizenship behavior among women doctors, by using a questionnaire as a tool to collect the necessary data on the study variables, distributing it to a simple random sample of 72 women doctors from various specialties at Mustafa Pasha University Hospital, and analyzing the results using the SpssV25.
The results of the study illustrate that there is a high level of work stress and organizational citizenship behavior among women doctors in the hospital. It also showes that there is no effect of work stress (role ambiguity, role conflict, workload, physical work environment) on organizational citizenship behavior (altruism, courtesy, sportsmanship, cultural awareness, conscience). Accordingly, we recommend developing strategies to reduce work stress by considering long working hours and improving the work environment, as well as enhancing organizational citizenship behavior by motivating female doctors through material and moral compensation
