Abstract

This research aims to highlight the impact of multinational companies investments on local development in the south-east of Algeria during 2006-2012, where we discussed the conceptual framework for multinational companies, and the impact of these companies flows on unemployment and gross domestic product, as well as its contribution to the hydrocarbon sector. Also we tried to give an answer to problem of measuring the impact of these flows on local development. We determined that the latter is contributing directly in raising the GDP and reducing the unemployment level at the same time. Moreover, we found that there is a continuous decline in GDP from the hydrocarbon sector because of the Algerian government attempt to adopt an economic policy based on many sectors to promote the local development.
