The effectiveness of a cognitive behavioral treatment program for depressive symptoms in an adolescents - a clinical case study-
Abstract
This study aims to model a treatment program for a teen with depressive symptoms that underwent therapeutic sessions in a psychiatric clinic. This study was divided into two parts, the theoretical section, considered as the basic concepts of the study, which are cognitive behavioral therapy "CBT" and depression. The second section of the study dealt with the practical aspect, where the steps of the CBT program were explained and its effectiveness was demonstrated through the handling of this condition.
The researcher relied on the adolescent depressive symptom scale of 55 phrases spread over three main dimensions (prepared by the researcher), and a network inspired by SECCA was used (Job Analysis Network, Ideas, Belief System, Behavior and Expectations). In fact, all this is a part of an integrated cognitive behavioral therapy program consisting of (15) sessions at the rate of one session per week. The results of the study demonstrated the effectiveness of the treatment program in reducing the levels of depressive symptoms in all dimensions of telemetry and the continued impact on monitoring
