Socio - Statistical reading of traffic accidents in Batna for the year 2023

Abstract

This study aims to show the numbers of traffic accidents in Batna in 2023. It was found that the number of recorded accidents reached 168 accidents, resulting in 95 deaths and 261 injuries. The study showed that the people involved in the accidents were between 30 and 34 years old, and that November was the month in which the state witnessed the largest number of traffic accidents, and that January witnessed the largest number of deaths. The figures also showed that the human factor is the main cause of accidents at a rate of 91%, and among the main causes is excessive speed. The numbers also showed us that the largest number of accidents in Batna were recorded on Thursday and Sunday. According to statistics, roads No. 03, 78, 28, 31, 86, 87, and 75 recorded the largest number of accidents. Most of the accidents recorded in Batna occurred between six in the evening and twelve at night.
