Lack of visual attention in mentally retarded children Learnable compared to their ordinary peers (Descriptive field study)
Abstract
The lack of ability to pay visual attention in mentally retarded children who are capable of learning is considered one of the most prominent features that characterize this group compared to their normal peers, which hinders them in the learning process. For this reason, we shed light on this topic by preparing a field research paper entitled Lack of ability to pay visual attention in retarded children. Mentally, those who are capable of learning compared to their ordinary peers, a descriptive field study, aiming to find out whether the level of ability in visual attention and short-term memory in this group allows them to be integrated into regular classes compared to their ordinary peers, as the results of the current study indicated that starting to school and educate them is not possible. Before preparing and training them on basic cognitive processes, including attention, visual attention, perception and short-term memory, which are considered a necessary condition in the learning process
