The demographic transition in Algeria and its implications for the size of the labor force
Abstract
The theory of population demographic transition is a logical scientific treatment of demographic changers and transformations of a human society within a specific geographical and temporal range accompanied by economic and social developments and has results and repercussions on society as a whole .On the labor market (the labor force for population groups(15 years -64 years) and accordingly the development of population growth and the study of changes in the structure of the population pyramid through all stagers of the demographic transition in Algeria and the implications of the latter on the size of the population structure in terms of activity and dependency and on the dynamics of power supply employment and unemployment rates .
The study concluded that significant changes have affected the structure of the age structure of the Algerian society as a result of the acceleration of the demographic of the demographic events, where the size of the middle groups increased at a faster rate than the two categories of young and old ,i.The demographic giveaway
