Abstract

The studyaims to reveal the professionalskillslevels of primaryschoolteacherswithin the overallquality standards in differentfields of teaching. The standard for the output of training programs during the service in Wirgha city wasadopted in the light of some variables. The analytical descriptive curriculum wasused to achieve the study's objectives. A sample of 229 professors and professorsdistributed in four pedagogical districts wasselected in a randommanner.Compile data collection network observation to measureprofessors' performance level. The SPSS wasused for statisticalprocessing.The results of the study are as follows:

(a) thereis an averagelevel of performance for primaryschoolprofessors in the light of the overallquality standards in in in-service training programmes, as well as in the variousfields of teaching (vocationalknowledge, professional practice, professional participation).

(b) there are significantdifferences in the level of professionalcompetenceattributable to variables of experience and qualification type.

(c) there are no significantdifferences in the level of professionalcompetenceattributable to the sex variable. Based on the results of the study, future studies and solutions to educationalproblemsrelated to the study'ssubjectmatterwereproposed
