Abstract

Development is defined as those successive procedures and processes undertaken by the society to control the direction and speed of civilized change in order to satisfy its needs in order to move from the stage of backwardness to the stage of progress, and the success of the development path depends on the concerted efforts of various, including the efforts of the media.

Based on the foregoing, we will try in this article to reveal the role played by the media, through its various means, in achieving sustainable development by talking about the basic requirements for the success of the media’s role in the field of sustainable development, as well as revealing the reasons for the failure of the Arab media in the field of development
