Abstract

With the beginnings of the French occupation in Algeria, several scientific, professional and technical associations arose in the city of Algiers to assist the occupation administration in exploiting and running the country. The settlers initiated their establishment, and they did not wait for the issuance of the law on the establishment of associations 01/07/1901.

Among the most important areas in which these associations were concerned is the cultural field with its various musical arts, theatrical, artistic and historical, which was mostly activated by French associations and then followed by mixed and Algerian associations.
