Emotional intelligence and its relationship to the awareness of psychological pressure among primary education teachers - An applied study in primary education schools in the state of Laghouat

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the nature of the relationship between emotional intelligence and awareness of psychological pressure among primary education teachers in Wilayat Laghouat. (Algeria). The study sample individuals estimated (160 male and female teachers). The Emotional Intelligence Scale and the Psychological Stress Awareness Scale were used as tools to collect data. After statistical treatment, the study concluded the following results:

1- There is a statistically significant correlation between emotional intelligence and awareness of psychological pressure among primary education teachers.

2- There are statistically significant differences in awareness of psychological pressure between teachers with a high level of emotional intelligence and teachers with a low level of emotional intelligence.

3- There is a statistically significant difference in the perception of psychological pressure attributable to emotional intelligence, gender, and the interaction between them.

4- There is a statistically significant variation in the perception of psychological pressure due to emotional intelligence, experience and interaction between them
