Abstract

The subject of the study is reflected in the relationship between the parental image and the psychological construction of the adopter children. In this study, the focus was on the category of adopted children and their view to their true and adopted parents, and the extent to which that image contributed to their personality and psychology. The phenomenon of the adoption is a common phenomenon at the present time and despite the availibility of all the requiements and needs of the adoptee, however, it remains in his mind a special picture of his true family and it may also be a picture of the family that adopted him. This study aims at the extent to which adopted children accept and reject their true family, and the self image, its low esteem and the defensive mechanisms most used by the adoptive category were affected. The emergence of the parental image disorder in the adoptive category which created a distortion in the psychological structure, imbalance and instability. As well as to the aggresive and indifference to adoptive parents  and their bad relationship with children, so this had distorted the image of both true and adoptive parents, and the lack of trust in both parties, and that is resulted by the emotional deprivation, the psychological and social instability
