Family site from managing children to their spare time

Abstract

This study deals with an important issue in the lives of families, especially children, in the management of spare time, how and style, and the role of their families and their position in it, starting from the general problem: How do children manage their spare time? Do they receive the right guidance from their parents? Do they provide the appropriate conditions for them?

The study was conducted on a sample of the students of the end of the intermediate stage and the beginning of the secondary stage, which amounted to 179 students between the ages of 13 and 19 years from the city of Oran, They applied the children's spare time questionnaire, consisting of 32 items divided into three dimensions (axes) , After data collection and statistical analysis, the following results were obtained:

% 57.5- of the study sample has a Leisure time management.

% 53.10 - of them receive guidance from their parents on how to invest spare time.

% 50,30 - of whom provide them with their parents suitable conditions for spare time.

- The study also revealed a statistically significant correlation between parenting their children and providing suitable conditions for them to spend spare time.
