Abstract

This study is concerned with a descriptive reading of the history of atheism in its intellectual and philosophical roots, especially in Greece, then, explain the impact of the intellectual and scientific revolution that occurred in Europe with the beginning of the modern era, and it would cause vibrations in the fields of knowledge, sings of suspicion appeared and contributed to the overthrow of the church's and hority and the substitution of experimental science in its place, after that, atheism appeared with its new face in new means and with a missionary discourse at the dawn of the 21 st century in the name of new or contemporary atheism
