Abstract

The subject of the discourse gained wide interest by researchers in various fields, which led to the multiplicity of approaches to analyzing its structure in order to understand and comprehend it. Pearce, who went on to study the possibility of studying any phenomenon regardless of its nature and language, if it is considered a linguistic or non-linguistic sign, will be examined by Jacques Derrida, who called for the transition from linguistic discourse to written discourse in order to approach an understanding of discourse defined by its narrative nature. Each approach has concepts and foundations that differ from others, and yet we find that they converge upon one endeavor, which is to analyze the discourse at the level of its simple structure or at the level of its complex structure in order to facilitate its study, and thus its understanding and perception on the part of the researcher. So, we aim by this article to know; how the methodological approaches address the discourse in their analysis, and what are the foundations of each one?.
