Abstract

This study aims to clarify the most important changes and the social changes which had been known by the desert town, specially the Ouargla’s ancient palace, where it consider as an important historical landmark with a full life until today and a considerable population.  

This population life a natural life as the others families where they life out of them. In despite of many changes, social, cultural, building which happened in the Ouargla’s palace. From these changes which happened, there is a separation of the grand traditional family, the reduction of the extend family, the spreading of the nuclear family, the change of woman’s status, her exit to work, learning. And the change was happened in the appearance of building when it distorted the picture of local architecture by reconstruction and restoration. These changes influenced negatively in the local development of the ancient palace. This situation demand from the central and local authorities be must adapt with these changes, take account to their requirements through the administrative enactment and regulations with the participation of the local community during the preparation of the development plans
