The problems facing women with disabilities in Algeria from their point view a field study in Oran

Abstract

This study sought to identify the most importation problems facing women with disabilities in Algeria, specifically in Oran, and relation of these problems to the follows variables (type of disability, severity of disability, place of residence, age, civil status, educational level) in addition to identify the differences that exists in the degree of problems experienced by women with disabilities.In order to achieve the objectives of the study a sample of 200 women with disabilities was chosen, where the results indicated that women with disabilities suffer from the problem of discrimination by 93%, work problems by 92.5%, educational integration due to age and civil status. While there were no statistically signification difference in educational problems of professional integration due to type of disability, severity of disability, place of residence, and educational level, and the existence of statistically signification differences in the problems of discrimination attributed to the type of disability only and its lack of other variables, and the results also resulted in no differences statically signification in the work problems due to the major challenges that women disabilities face in Algeria.
