Abstract

This theoretical presentation aims at clarifying the concept of conformity and dispelling any ambiguity to make a distinction between this concept and the similar ones in psychosocial field. It highlights the importance of this concept in previous studies and how to adapt its theoretical aspects in interpreting social phenomena. It deals first, with the conceptual differentiation. Then, it displays the theoretical aspects and the main performed tests on this concept. Finally, it emphasizes the main theories that interpret such concept
