The reality of the first marriage age in Algeria through the data of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS 4) (2012-2013)
Abstract
The study of the phenomenon of marriage demographically in the demographic community is very important, since the event of marriage is considered as an event of the beginning of pregnancy and then childbearing, and the demographic determinants controlling it diverge or vary between the different population societies in terms of its occurrence at advanced ages or later ages. Marriage in Algeria, based on the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS4) database (2012-2013) being the closest chronological database to the date of completing this study, the marriage events recorded during the year 2012 were limited to targeting 1038 marriage events where we dealt with the first marriage age for both The spouses as an independent variable to interpret it with important demographic determinants that reveal its reality as dependent variables represented in the residential area, geographical region, educational level and individual status
