Abstract

The purpose of this study is to shed light on the situation of chronic diseases by sex in Algeria, based on the data of the 2012-2013 multi-indicator cluster survey(MICS). When reviewing the final report of the survey, we found that most of the tables presented were simple double-entry tables with a dependent variable on the status of the individual,whether they are affected by chronic diseases or not, and on the other hand, the other independent variables: level of education, place of residence, age group, etc. In order to examine the variation of the amplitude and the direction of the difference between the two sexes through the modalities set of the aforementioned independent variables, the sex was introduced as a control variable
