Abstract
The financial equilibrium and sustainability of the Algerian social protection system is the biggest challenge facing the public authorities in the coming decades.
The aging of the population, resulting from the demographic transition, which has led to a massive retirement, including salaried workers, as well as informal market-related undercoverage, under-reporting of income and health expenditures that cease to increase, deeply affected the balance and the existence of the Algerian social security system.

This paper analyzes the impact of the aging of the population on the social security system of self-employed through the key indicators of the preservation of the financial equilibrium
