Politique de population et pratique contraceptive en Algérie
Abstract
Until the years 1980, Algeria did not have an explicit policy of population in spite of a demographic rate of increase in highest with the world.
The awakening of the problems and the consequences of the maintenance of such a level of growth of the Algerian population has made more than imperative the development and the implementation of a government policy as regards population which resulted in the adoption of measurements and actions within the framework of the PNMCD (national plan of control of the population growth) in order to act on the increase demographic.
Indeed, the growth rate of the Algerian population recorded in the two decades space an effective spectacular fall, grace, in particular with the increase in the rate of contraceptive prevalence which represents a deciding factor in the fall of the fertility.
