Abstract

Through this study, we seek revealed cultural factors that explain orientation of patients to the popular therapy, through a field study on a sample of 186 patients in Tlemcen region resorted to popular therapy. The results showed that cultural and religious heritage and the belief in the effectiveness of popular therapy is of great importance in the continuation of popular therapy for the performance of its therapeutic function in Algeria
