The reality of school violence from the point of view of secondary school pupils (A field study on a sample of secondary students of Qasr Belkacem in the city of el-Maniaa)

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the reality of school violence from the point of view of secondary school students in the city of Al-Munea for the year 2016/2017 and to identify the level of school violence within educational institutions.The descriptive approach was followed in the study. A random sample was selected from the study community (Qasr Belkacem Secondary School) in Al-Maniaa. The sample consisted of (100) students, 67 males and 33 females.

In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a tool was applied, which is the measure of aggressive behavior, "rationalization" consisting of 67 items. During the school year (2016-2017), the results showed that the level of school violence is high among the first year of secondary school students, and there is no difference in the level of school violence according to gender (male - female) and specialization (common trunk science and technology - common trunk literature and languages ) Among pupils of the first secondary year.
