Building a experiences of abuse in childhood scale and estimating its psychometric characteristics among adolescents at risk

Abstract

The present study aimed at building a measure of the experiences of abuse in childhood on a sample of adolescents at risk. The study population consists of minors at risk and subjects in specialized protection centers during 2016. The study sample consisted of 40 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 19, The scale consists of three dimensions, which constitute patterns of abuse: physical abuse, psychological abuse and sexual abuse. The results of the study were to estimate and adjust the psychometric properties of the scale so that the results showed reliable and stable indications that make this standard valid for use in other studies and on different samples.
