In The concept of being and its roles in philosophy of Ṣadr al-dīn Shîrâzî
Abstract
This research aims at illustrating the concept of existence in Sadra's philosophy, systematic discrimination and distinctive results highlighted transcendental wisdom school (Hikmat al-Muti'aliyyah) founded by the philosopher Ṣadr al-dīn Shîrâzî, versus the philosophy of Aristote and Sheikh Ibn Sina. We tried also to detect the originality of the topic in the philosophical field within Islamic culture, unlike what some Orientalists and Islamists claimed that Arab and Islamic philosophical intellect was a mere paraphrase of Greek philosophy to Arabic language. In fact, the issue of existence is, undoubtedly, one of the most significant philosophical issues that has been a constant presence throughout the history of human intellect and still till today keeps it’s evince as a model for Islamic philosophical genius, which manifested itself more with the Muslim philosopher Ṣadr al-dīn Shîrâzî
