Abstract

The objective of the study is to analyze the human and organizational environmental and
technical factors affecting the occupational accidents, in the Production Directorate of Sonatrach in
Hassi-Massoud during the period 2011 and 2017. The study based on analysis of 372 incidents
using statistical method of a range of indicators (number of accidents, number of lost days, Risk
rate and frequency rate(,In addition to analyzing the Human ,Organizational And Technical factors
affecting occupational accidents using the Pareto Lorenz method.
The results shows that there are 5 factors affecting 80% of the number of accidents (Lack of Focus
and Attention, Machinery and Equipment, non-wear PPE, Working Method and slide) and 3 factors
affecting 72% of the number of missed days(Lack of focus and attention working method,
Machinery and equipment). The results of the study also concluded the importance of activating the
role of the psychological factor and the culture of occupational health and safety in addition to
effective training to reduce the number of occupational accidents in the Directorate
