Analyse de la durée du chômage en Algérie via les modèles de survie Analysis of the duration of unemployment in Algeria via survival models

Abstract

This study aims to identify the most important determinants that may affect the duration
of unemploymentn in others words, waiting till obtaining employment. This is based on a sample
of individuals using nonparametric and parametric survival models like (Weibull, Gamma,
Cox,….ect). From the results of this study, it turns out that the variables affecting the duration of
survival are : age, marital statuts or more specifically the married, postgraduate and secondary level
for the education variable and experience.
