The Problem of Improving the Performance of the Economic Institution by Moving Towards Activating the Dimensions of Sustainable Development
A Study of a Sample of Institutions in the State of Annaba
Abstract
The study aims to highlight the role and contribution of economic institutions in
achieving sustainable development at the micro-level, as a partner in establishing the goals and
principles of this concept, being the most important actors in society by integrating the dimensions
of sustainable development within their strategies and activities in an effort to improve their overall
performance. From the descriptive approach, the analytical approach, and the case study approach
in which SPSS was used to analyze the questionnaire results. It was concluded that the institution’s
consideration of the environmental and social dimension in the ways and methods of its
management and the economic dimension allows it to be sustainable in light of an unstable
environment and surroundings.
