Abstract

This research investigates the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in environmental
economics studies. By analyzing 1642 articles, it is found that the number of publications in this
field has significantly increased in recent years. The journal "Sustainability (Switzerland)" is
identified as the most relevant source. Key research areas include sustainable development,
machine learning, and decision-making with AI. The study highlights the potential of AI in
environmental resource management. Overall, the findings emphasize the growing importance of
AI in shaping the field of environmental economics and its potential for sustainable solutions.
