The correlation between school violence and the academic achievement in the students at the middle schools stage

A field study at Abd el Razzaq el Aiddi middle schools in the ksar el abtal setif

Abstract

The study aimed to identifying the type and nature of the correlation between
violence in the school and middle schools students academic achievement at Abd el Razzaq
Al-Aiddi middle schools in the ksar el abtal(setif), which was conducted on a random sample
of 83 students. We have adopted in this study a descriptive approach, The data collection tool
was the measure of violence behavior of the French researcher Pierre Coslin (1997) . The
statistical analysis revealed the following results:
- There is a negative statistically significant correlation between the violence in the school and
the academic achievement in the students at the middle schools stage.
- There is a statistically significant differences in violence in the school at the middle schools
students between males and females and in favor of males.
