Coping strategies of the married student
A field study at the university of blida 2
Abstract
The aim of this study was to find out the strategies adopted by the married students
and attempted to examine whether the degree of coping strategies varies according to the
variable of the school level and the variable of children. We used for that the descriptive
approach with 80 married student and we used measure: the strategy of confrontation of
Lazarus and Folkman. The study reached several results:
-Stress focused strategies are most commonly used by married students
-The study shooed no statistically significant differences between married students (females)
in the use of coping strategies according to the variable of the level of study (license /master)
-The study also revealed no statistically significant differences between married
students(females) in the use of coping strategies based on the variable of children ( they have
children/ they don’t have children)
