Watson-Glasser test was used as a measurement tool. The total sample was 233<br>students from the indicated universities. Results show that 46.8% of the students scored<br>high on the test while 30.0% scored average, and lastly, 23.2% scored low. In addition,<br>statistical analysis shows that there are no statistically significant differences in critical<br>thinking skills due to the following variables: university location, gender, academic<br>specialization , and age of the master students in the Algerian universities.<br>There is also no interaction between sex and the other variables of the study: university<br>location, specialization, and age. In this work, we aim to evaluate the<br>quality management system applied in higher education institutions in Algeria. This<br>study is based on the official legislative texts applied by quality assurance cells in<br>universities on the involved stuff from administrators and professors.<br>The main conclusions are that the quality of procedures has the main impact on the<br>overall quality with a rate of 42.01% based on the response of the teaching crew. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed<br>to verify the number of factors. To verify the validity and reliability of scale, a<br>structural validity and a composite reliability was determined. The six significant<br>factors were identified based on factor analysis. A questionnaire composed of (50) items divided over<br>(8) work stress dimensions, applied to a sample of (172) assistants, who were selected in a<br>non-random sampling (quota sampling) among (34) middle and (23) secondary schools in the<br>wilaya of Medea. The results show that educational assistants suffer from a high level of<br>perceived stress whose sources are lack of motivation, lack of career development<br>opportunities, task stress, lack of control poor feedback, workload, lack of supervisor support,<br>role conflicts and ambiguities. The results also demonstrated that there are no statistically<br>significant differences in the levels of perceived stress among education assistants due to<br>gender except for task stress and lack of control in favour of females.
