The use of river water in irrigation poses a major problem of public health. The bad smells during dry periods, added to the irrevocable damage caused to the beauty of the site, are an attack on the environment and blatant disrespect of nature. À sampling design was established and river water was sampled to measure all its physicochemical indicators of pollution: nitrates, nitrogenized ammoniacals, sulphates, chlorides, T°, pH, electrical conductivity and salinity. This pollution is a consequence of the solid and liquid wild discharges that have a direct and significant impact on the quality of water throughout the river. A multivariate statistical study through PCA (principal component analysis) revealed that the levels of these parameters remain however low upstream the course of water (S1 and S2) compared to the downstream (S3.S4). Human anthropogenic actions (wastewater discharges, agricultural and industrial activities) without treatment in advance are the main cause of this generated pollution</p> BEKHOUCHE Naima KHIEL Saida OULDJAOUI Abdellah ABABSA Labed MARNICHE Faisa ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2022-12-31 2022-12-31 12 2 2 12 IMPACT DE TROIS PLANTES SUR CERTAINS PARAMETRES BIOLOGIQUES DES LARVES (L5) DU CRIQUET PELERIN SHISTOCERCA GREGARIA FORSKÅL, 1775 (ORTHOPTERA : ACRIDIDAE) <p>The purpose of this study was to study the effect of the leaves of Rosmarinus officinalis L.<br>(Lamiaceae), Lonicera japonica L. (Caprifoliaceae) and Nerium oleander L. (Apocynaceae)<br>on some biological parameters of the L5 larvae of the plant. Desert Locust Schistocerca<br>gregaria, by direct feeding and by injection (leaf extracts) under laboratory conditions. The<br>fresh leaves of L. japonica were well appreciated by the S. gregaria L5 larvae and showed no<br>adverse effect on the different parameters studied. On the other hand, leaves and extracts of N.<br>oleander and R. officinalis caused disturbances in the various biological parameters studied,<br>including low weight gains, high mortality rates, and inhibition of fledging. In view of the<br>results obtained, the plants of R. officinalis and N. oleander offer a promising alternative to<br>the use of synthetic pesticides in Desert Locust control.</p> BELHADI Aissa ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2022-12-31 2022-12-31 12 2 13 28 SPECTRE ALIMENTAIRE DES JEUNES DE Passer domesticusx P. hispaniolensis DANS UNE PALMERAIE A HASSI BEN ABDELLAH (OUARGLA, SAHARA SEPTENTRIONAL-EST ALGERIEN) <p>The study of the food spectrum of young Passer domesticus x P. hispaniolensiswas carried out for the first time in a date palm environment at Hassi Ben Abdellah (32° 52' E.; 5° 26' N.).The analysis of stomach contents made it possible to identify 307 prey items consisting of a large fraction of insects in young sparrows belonging to three age categories (94.7% for young hybrid sparrows aged 1 to 4 days, 94.5% for individuals aged 5 to 8 days and 90.0% for those aged 9 to 12 days).The trophic menu of young sparrows is characterized by the dominance of Heteroptera-prey such as Lygaeidae, particularly in chicks aged 1 to 3 days.On the other hand, the other age categories mainly ingest semi-soft prey such as Pheidoepallidula (Hymenoptera), as well as caterpillars (Lepidoptera) and Diptera.</p> ABBASSI A ALIOUA Y BENRAS H GUEZOUL O ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2022-12-31 2022-12-31 12 2 29 38 CLIMAT URBAIN ET IMPACT SUR LE DEBOURREMENT DES BOURGEONS DE LA VEGETATION URBAINE DANS LA VILLE DE SETIF (NORD EST ALGERIEN) <p>The budburst phase is one of the most temperature-sensitive parameters. The study of the<br>morpho-physiological parameters of urban vegetation will allow a better characterization of<br>the behavior of the tree in the city. This study concerns five woody species in the city of Setif<br>(northeast of Algeria): Rosa sp, Euonyms japonicus, Populus tremula, Morus alba and<br>Ligustrum vulgare. The observations were based on phenological behavior such as bud burst,<br>leaf expansion and senescence during the period of january to april 2022 at six sites. The<br>results obtained showed that the phenophase of the beginning of the buds took place between<br>the beginning of february and the beginning of march for all the sites. Statistical analysis<br>showed that the rosebush and the Japanese spindle are the first species whose appearance of<br>buds was observed. The phenological monitoring of the expansion of the leaves shows that<br>the rosebush and the mulberry occupy the first group followed by the other species. These<br>results illustrate the manifestations of climate change, in particular the rise in temperatures in<br>january and february in the city of Setif.</p> BELDJAZIA Amina MISSAOUI Khaled SAMAI Ibtissem KOUT Akram KADRI Saliha LAGGOUNE Fatima Zohra ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2022-12-31 2022-12-31 12 2 39 48 ANALYSE DES PERCEPTIONS LOCALES DES SERVICES ECOSYSTEMIQUES FOURNIS PAR LE SYSTEME OASIEN DU MANGA (SUD-EST NIGERIEN) <p>The oasis system of the Manga constitutes a unique ecosystem with dune facies which are linked and surround<br>the depressions in the form of shallows and oasis basins. These valleys, which are threatened by silting, support<br>the economic activities of the inhabitants and offer numerous ecosystem services. The aim of this study is to<br>analyse local perceptions of ecosystem services in the Manga in order to establish sustainable strategies for the<br>perpetuation of ecosystem services. Data were collected through village assembly surveys and individual<br>interviews with a sample of 194 farmers. The results show that farmers perceive 18 ecosystem services in the<br>four categories defined by the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment. The category of provisioning services is the<br>most diverse with 10/18 of the services mentioned. The perception of ecosystem services varies little across the<br>study areas and gender has a significant influence on perceptions. Communities are aware of the threats to<br>exploited ecosystems and are willing to preserve ecosystems through local strategies to sustain the services they<br>derive. Community involvement in implementing these sustainability strategies is influenced by gender and<br>income level of the farmers. It has demonstrated many capabilities to be used<br>as biofertilizers as well as bio-fungicides. It has also shown its sustainability and various mechanisms of<br>providing the crop with nutrients. It was reported to improve the plant growth of many crops. Six strains of<br>Trichoderma harzianum were isolated and identified in the laboratory of biopesticides in the National Institute of<br>Agronomic Research of Algeria (INRAA). All the obtained strains were tested for their capacity to produce<br>gibberellin. The results revealed that all the isolated strains have the ability to produce GA3 whereas the 1st strain<br>showed the production of GA3 with no difference between days. Unlike, the other strains showed very highly<br>significant production of GA3 between days. The production of GA3 reached the highest value after 14 days,<br>unlike the 7 and 21 days after. On the other hand, S2 presented the highest average for filtrate content of GA3<br>with 83 mg/100mL, followed by S with 76 mg/100mL, and S5 with 68 mg/100mL, while other isolates have<br>recorded the lowest average of 64, 75, and 48 mg/100mL</p> LAKHDARI W AZHER A MLIK R BENYAHIA I MEKHADMI N E GUEZOUL O HAMMI H DEHLIZ A ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2022-12-31 2022-12-31 12 2 74 81 Trichoderma-BASED BIO-STIMULANT APPLIED ON OKRA (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) BIOPRODUCT APPLIED ON OKRA <p>Okra is a popular lucrative crop in African countries but it hasn’t yet been scientifically experimented<br>with Algerian open fields. This work aims to examine the potential of a Trichoderma-based biostimulant<br>on the performance of this crop. The experiment was conducted, in the region of Touggourt,<br>according to a randomized complete block design with three rehearsals. Three plots were treated with<br>the bioproduct (20g/2.5 m2) and three others were untreated (controls). The assessment was conducted<br>by measuring 13 agro-morphological plant characters associated with growth and yield. The study<br>revealed that the biological product has a stimulating efficiency towards the mostly examined<br>parameters especially the yield, which was doubled compared with the untreated crop. Statistical<br>analysis revealed a significant stimulant effect on quantitative variables of growth (Wilk’s Ʌ= 0.440, F<br>(7, 52) 9.45, p= &lt; 0.05) and yield (Wilk’s Ʌ= 0.72, F (3, 38) 4.89, p= 0.006). Moreover, three stages of<br>development (lifting, flowering, and fruiting) were improved after treatment application. Pearson’s<br>Chi2 test showed that qualitative parameters were strongly associated with the bio-stimulant effect, χ2=<br>97, df= 4, p= &lt; 0.05.This treatment incorporated upstream of the culture was very efficient in<br>promoting okra attitude and it can turn local ideology to use organic products in agriculture.</p> DEHLIZ A BEN LAMOUDI W GUEZOUL O HAMMI H BERRAKBIA M LAKHDARI W ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2022-12-31 2022-12-31 12 2 82 90
