Abstract

This study aims to uncover the meaning of linguistic signification in the book ( Nukhbat al-Bayan fi Tafsir al-Qur'an ) The Elite Explanation in the Interpretation of the Qur’an . Al-Suhrawardi was the main driving force behind this linguistic approach, as he sought to invoke linguistic signification to interpret the texts and uncover their meanings. Accordingly, he relied on linguistic tools in his interpretation of the Qur’an, using them to support his explanations-highlighting the importance of the Arabic language in exegetical works. The concept of linguistic signification in the book is manifested in various forms, including: the signification of repetition, the signification of difference, the signification of translation, the signification of analogy, among others
