Abstract

The theme of metaphor is among the most important themes in the rhetoric which is dealing with
similarity, it is one of subjects that occupied a great deal of studies by thinkers, rhetoricians and criticism
experts in different eras .the evolution that happened in linguistics has led to the appearance of cognitive
sciences or what we may call the revolution of cognitive which changed the concept of metaphor from a
linguistic phenomenon which is linked to poetic image and rhetoric decoration, and from mere words of
decoration and improvement of the style to a phenomenon of cognitive image and a tool of thinking
which is present in all fields of our daily file , it is a basis to a great of our imagination concepts. That is
what we are trying to slow in this scientific paper through materializing the concept the new metaphor in
two literary texts: one is a poem and the other is prose
