Abstract

This study aims to trace the narrative discourse in the novel "Alhai Alhai" for the novelist "Ali Al Sha’ali", to unfold the dominant spaces in this novel, specifically the ones related to the imagined spaces, where is the assumption is that it could be a rich setting in which it contributes to the expansion of available textual concepts and connotations, as a reflection of the worlds that elaborate in the narrator's conscience. This was represented as a major motivation to show the connections the novel is filled with which drive us to wonder about the compatibility of linguistic structures with the spaces of the text generally, as well as the nature of these imagined spaces. Are these identical spaces being parallel to represent the same function? Are these spaces being together to form the artistic structure of the novel? Are they taking the part of disclosure and transgression? Or are the narrative spaces stacked in the structure of the novel to create its aesthetic powerment?
