Abstract

This research dealt with the rhetoric of rejection in the poetry of Mahmoud Al-Zubayri as a rhetorical and informative technique. The poet used it in his texts to express himself and the collective conscience of the masses of the Yemeni people in the face of the authoritarian discourse and its resistance. The approach eloquently appealed to the audience as a modern theory capable of analyzing poetic texts and decoding them, by studying the public responses. The study concluded that the theory of public rhetoric was able to analyze the poet's rejectionist discourse and revealed its multiple formats which represented in exposing the mechanisms of authoritarian discourse in the tyranny of people. It also reveals the ability of public responses and their expressive methods in creating a rejectionist discourse that confronted the authoritarian discourse of authority and created a critical awareness of resistance
