Abstract
The purpose of this study is to look at the joke in general, and the political joke in particular, as expressing the eloquence of the public, its attitudes and visions towards the political life in its country. The researcher followed the methodology of discourse analysis, in relation to the eloquence of the audience, and the applied study dealt with the political joke in Egypt before, during and after the January revolution, in order to reach the aesthetics of these jokes and the connotations emanating in them
