Summary, etc. The present research is to compare the efficiency of the uptake of the Mediterranean fruit fly Ceratitis capitata in three types of traps, namely the trap food, the trap to pheromone and the Trap yellow. The traps are placed on four varieties of citrus fruit (Thomson, Clementine, Portuguese and Valentia-late) in the station El Fehoul in the region of Tlemcen (Algeria) between 2015 and 2016. It shows that the trap food (781 individuals), which is the most effective in the capture of adults of the Mediterranean fruit fly, in comparison with the trap to pheromone (629 individuals) and the Trap yellow (34 individuals). The results also show that the flight of the Mediterranean fruit fly lasts almost three generations, with two periods of high activity in November and December for the early citrus fruit (Thomson and Clementine) and in March for citrus fruit late (Portuguese and Valentia-late). The density of the Mediterranean fruit fly in the different orchards is in close relationship with the diversity of host plants, climatic conditions and the period of use of insecticides.
