Summary, etc. Seeds of Atlas pistachio (Pistacia atlantica Desf.) are generally characterized by a dormancy especially integumentary inhibition. In this context and to optimize Pistacia atlantica seed germination and to overcome and remove the obstacle of tegumentary inhibition, we have tested the effect of various physical and chemical pretreatments. The obtained results showed various pretreatment tested allowed to improve the rate of seeding, to accelerate the speed of seeding and to reduce the average time of seeding. The biggest rate of seeding (100 %) is registered at the seeds which underwent a stratification in 4±1°C during 30 days combined in a mechanical scarification. Also, the treatment of seeds in the sulphuric acid concentrated during one hour and the mechanical scarification allowed of registered(recorded) the high rates of seeding or respectively 93 %, 97 %. However, the stratification of seeds in colds in 4±1°C in various periods showed average rates of seeding (74 %).
