L’ethos comme stratégie actionnelle dans la plaidoirie de la défense de Blé Goudé à la Cour pénale internationale (CPI)
Résumé
The article offers an analysis of the ethos in Blé Goudé’s speech during his oral argument at the
International Criminal Court. This reflection dissects the tools used by the defense to try to
construct a better image of the accused. It is based on the proposals for study in the field of
rhetoric, discourse analysis, pragmatics and law. This construction combines the precursor and
discursive ethos culminating in the celebration of the accused’s personal merits. This strategy
aims to acquit the respondent.
