Humoristic parenthesis When the Heart is Gone!

  • Foudil Dahou

Résumé

What harm is there in opening frequent parentheses, especially humorous ones, when superfluous discourse invites us to do so in its decline? We not only laugh at others, but especially at ourselves when our own stupidity is thrown in our face, without warning. Humor then proves to be an effective remedy to relieve us of the heaviness of hypocritical dialogues of everyday life. It is our weakness to succumb under the weight of the heavy words of the suddenly sobered consciousness. Humor thus allows us to cling to the vain existence of the contemporaneity of a dominating age of consumption.
